Love bread but don’t love the gluten, sugar or carbs? This high protein flax bread is gluten-free, filled with fiber, omega-3s, minerals and zero net carbs.
It can be struggle to get enough protein intake throughout the day but this flax bread is filled with protein (making it 0 net carbs for those who are looking for a keto bread). One slice can add 8-10 grams of protein to your meal.
If you are practicing seed cycling eating this bread can also be an easier alternative to consuming flax seeds.
I prefer to use golden flax seeds for baking as it has a milder taste but you can use brown flax seeds if you prefer. You can buy the golden flax seeds ground or you can ground whole golden flax seeds in a blender or food processor.
Adding toppings are completely optional but I enjoy adding seeds and nuts. Hemp, pumpkin and chia seeds and/or walnuts and pecans are great options.
